Customer service superb. Have only once had a problem that was not sorted out on the phone on the spot. And that was when my visa was used fraudulently by a company in Indonesia to double my car hire fee. Even that was cleared up in a few weeks with minimal hassle to myself.
Only bad point I can come up with is that, since they are now getting so popular, it is not as quick as it used to be to get through on the phone.
I have banked with First Direct since 1993 and it is an excellent bank. Recently, as an executor of someone's will, I had contact with another bank and was reminded of the awful customer service I left all those years ago.
