Ease Of Use, New Empty mechanism is brilliant, tool latching greatly improved, plastic quality improved, suction fantastic. Motor durability and warranty improved.
Motor durability if not cleaned correctly. Dyson STILL do not advice on how much this vacuum NEEDS to be cleaned on a regular basis. Hose durability.
Probably best Dyson ever, (including new DC14 and DC15) Dyson listened to all complaints about DC04 and improved everything. Drop release emptying is so intuitive, Hose release and wand connection is a 200% improvement on DC04, filters must be cleaned regularly (6m Months). Motor warranty is 5 YEARS, (if item cleaned correctly). I repair lots of these and most common problem is lack of suction, due to centre column filling up, JUST BLOW IT THROUGH WITH A PRESSURE WASHER. and allow it to dry before reuse.
