I closed my current account 2 months ago due to poor service,they advertise 8% current account, trouble is they would not give it to you in writing, in the paperwork it only states 2.65%, so got fed up , and closed the account.
After taking out ALL my cash, got a cheque and letter, saying I had 53 pence in my account, this after specially asking for all my money when closing the account
Trouble is, for raising cheques they charge 20 pounds, so no way I was going to cash it!!!
Now I got a letter through stating I have 55 pence in my ISA account,...the only thing is, I have NEVER opened an ISA with Abbey, I have already used up my limit for this year, getting upset having to deal with rubbish like that from Abbey, even a phone call to close that account which I never opened costing me more than 55 pence!!!
