I have banked with Midland/HSBC for 22 years,telephone banking was not a problem until it went abroad. The staff at their call centre are not on this planet. They seem to be in possession of a standard stereotyped brain dead response prompt sheet. It is just not possible to talk any sense with them, customer care does not exist, long useless telephone calls do. Its sad really my advice to all is leave HSBC AND FIND A BANK WHERE YOU CAN TALK TO A PERSON WHO NOT ONLY UNDERSTANDS ENGLISH, BUT IS ENGLISH.
