Good Points

Savings on local dealer price are fantastic and better than the online competitors I found. Very friendly, attentive and efficient sales staff both pre and post order/deposit. Car delivered within acceptable time of original estimate.

Bad Points

Trade in offer could have been more in line with standard dealer and industry (Parkers etc) values. However, I expect that Nationwide are at the mercy of the dealer that is providing the new car at a discount; additionally they did advise me from the outset (before placing order) that I would better off disposing of my current vehicle myself.

General Comments

I have purchased two cars from Nationwide Car Contracts (the first in 2004 with the second delivered 4 days ago - March 2008). The initial purchase was as seamless and as problem- free as any major transaction I ' ve made. My latest purchase has been just as seamless with only me being a bit of pain regarding the value of the trade in car and various calls to NCC to let them know if I wanted to exchange or not. In the end I managed to get over £300 more (not far off a private sale price) from that other excellent website who offer to by any car. I ' m delighted with the new car sourced by NCC " delivered in pristine condition with just 168 miles on the clock which is spot on considering where I live and the dealers location. (so, don ' t think these cars are cheaper because they are long term ex demo models). I know that buying a new can be fraught with problems no matter where you source it from. Maybe I ' ve been lucky with my last two purchases but one thing is for sure; the next time I change my car I ' ll be going to Nationwide Car Contracts Ltd. I hope that continue their high standards as they have done since my first dealing with them in 2004.
