£32 for 3 courses is excellent value for money. If this chef hasn't got a Michelin star, then he is well on his way to obtaining one. Any chef who provides the choice of 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 desserts is very confident of his abilities, and we were certainly not disappointed. The meal was equally as good as 'Hibiscus' in Ludlow 3-4 years ago, and could give 'Le Chaupignon Sauvage' in Cheltenham a run for its money. Every single item on the plate deserved to be there.
Just to relax in the lounge with a drink whilst I am perusing the menu, nibbling on interesting and delicious treats is delightful and prepared me for a real treat.
I love it when chef provides delightful little samples between courses. It really shows that someone lives and breathes food and wants to share their inventions with others. It is a pleasure to be served by waiters who actually care about food and wine and can hold a decent conversation.
For a meal you will not forget, I can highly recommend Ynyshir Hall.
