Beautiful car, well designed and reliable. I get on average 54 miles per gallon, which is better than my C Class. The handling is superb and the acceleration is good. Overall it is a well appointed car which is considerably cheaper than its competitors.
Road noise. You have to use Pirelli tyres according to our local dealer or your insurance is invalid, these can be quite expensive. Rust under the chrome boot plinth is a common fault (each corner).
The Jaguar X Type is a well designed car that are a dream to drive. They are great value for money and they are very frugal. They make you want to go fast as the acceleration is immediate and raw. Very comfortable and plenty of toys. So much so that my brother bought the 2.2 Sports Premium, 6 months after I bought my 2 ltr. what a car.
