Good Points

Well put together. Very cheap to run, only 35 year road tax, about 60 mpg combined normal driving. Fun to drive and very nippy. Good smooth gear change. Fantastic ABS breaks, stops very quickly!


Bad Points

Plastic dash and facia feels a bit cheap. Could do with rear head restraints. Engine and road noise quite intrusive. Hydraulic tappets take a while to quieten down and are never 100% right, very annoying! Not a car to be driven round corners very enthusiastically.


General Comments

My Fiat Panda has covered 3000 miles and on the whole I am quite pleased with it, especially the economy. However, to make the car a nicer place to be, I feel that a better level of sound proofing would have been of benefit. Acceleration is very good in a straight line but because of the high ride height going round corners fast feels a bit dodgy. Considering the diesel engine is supposed to be one of the most advanced around I am disappointed that it seems to be noisier than other diesel cars I hear. Perhaps this will improve as the car covers more miles and the engine runs in better. On the whole this car dose the job its supposed to do, but with the cost of diesel being so high it might have been a better proposition to have gone for a small petrol car with band B road tax that would have been quieter and more refined.
