Excellent sound quality for both music and movies. Plenty of power. Power rating is measured at average power output with both channels driven. Torroidial power supply.
Remote can be tricky. Does not switch between analog and digital signals automatically depending on signal type. No s-video to componant video conversion.
The harman/kardon avr 7200 is a great home theatre receiver for someone who wants to enjoy a moderately high end system. It has sufficient power to drive most speakers as well as the ones with the tricky impedence that tends to be all over the place. Plenty of high current power as well as a true wattage output rating measured as continuous average power with both channels driven (Not just one like a lot of other manufacturers do.
