Used to be good - now, pretty appalling. Have had 8Mb unlimited subscription +£5-00 pm for nearly 18 months. 1st 12 months worked well (I use Outlook 2003 email client). Then problems with smtp server.
For the last six months, I can only send emails from Outlook 2003 using timed sending, although not always as far as I am concerned - Immediate send and receive, a waste of time for me personally. Same problem with a separate Outlook client installation on a notebook so its not the one client. Technical support were not helpful in my experience. Wireless Livebox 90 router used to work well. Now, either regularly drops connection or can't be even be seen by either of two laptops using unsecured, WEP or WPA encryption.
Have been an Orange Broadband customer for more than 10 years. Their move into broadband via Wanadoo was a BIG mistake for me personally. Stick to mobiles. They cannot handle the technical side and I can't be dealing with foreign call centres as I can not understand them. I have to use phonetics to spell out the questions when providing the Livebox settings, never mind the answers in my case. At a guess, they are sending out anonymous sofware updates which are having a disasterous effect on their customer base in my opinion. They need to look at this. I'm looking elsewhere...
