You can not just look beforehand to view club to see the goods etc

General Comments

I went to the one in Rayliegh Essex, to look at club, only to find that you can not just walk in and asked to see the training areas and Gym weights see if you like etc, instead you have either know a member to go with a Guest or pay a fee of '£15.0o and arrange to view with one of their training consultants, seems that Richard Branson Empire has got to big for its boots

You will find that this is a standard policy for many gyms like this. They dont just let you wander round for many issues, firstly security. What if you got in to the locker rooms and stole everyones stuff. That is why you sign in or go with a member, they know exactly who is in the gym at the time. Secondly, people pay a premium to use these clubs and dont want random people staring at them in the gym, or anyone who could make them feel uncomfortable (especially women). This is why someone will show you round.

Also a training consultant will put together a plan for you so that you get the full benefit from your work out and dont injure yourself and if you do hurt yourself you cant sue them as they have shown you properly how to use the equipment.

Branson and Virgin are just covering themselves, and their customers from the thieving scum how prey on gyms as easy targets and the idiots who will sue someone for anything because they live by the rule "where theres blame, theres a claim", and its never them to whose to blame.

Unfortunately its other people in this world who have caused Branson to do this. Personally i would never join a Virgin gym but that is for other reasons and although i do agree that its a pain to have to go through this process but its not the fault of anyone within Virgin and this is not specific to them either.
