Saves time WHEN the extensions work properly. Though I spend more time trying to fix them or work around bugs, that I often write the code myself because its faster.
I have been using Web Assist extensions for a couple of years, and they seem riddled with bugs. When fixes are available, they are usually released in new version that you have to pay to upgrade to. You have to pay for support every time. I paid for the extension - why should I also have to pay to make sure it works? Their sales department will only talk to you if it ' s a question related to actually making a new sale - they won't assist in getting help for problems with products you already bought. (I received a response to my email stating "this should be sent to our support department." That ' s it? Come on - at least get involved and help a customer out... Forward my request or something. My question to them suggested I was looking to UPGRADE to another product, but also included a support question. What decent sales person ignores an opportunity like that? I have purchased more than half of their offerings - shouldn't that qualify for better service? Their forums are pointless - their tech support does not participate in them, so what's the point of having them? They are full of customers complaining about issues that never are addressed by web assist staff at all. I have finally decided - after 2 years - to throw my investment out the window and switch to Adobe Developer Toolbox.
