Cowboys, poor quality checks and reliability of vehicles, customer service is appalling
I hired a car from 1Car1 to drive to Scotland. I left at 3.30 am and within 10 mins the car had broken down and left my wife and I stranded on the side of the road for over an hour while we waited for the AA. 1Car1 took almost 5 hours to then get a replacement vehicle and made me feel they were doing me a big favour. 1Car1 refused to refund me for the day I was unable to use the car because they felt they had done an 'incredible job' getting me another car.
It is incredible that 1Car1 still believe that this is an appropriate way to treat customers, especially those they have left stranded in the middle of the night because of their negligence. Thank goodness it wasn't on the middle of the highway or was on my way to the airport. That has cost me £50, a day of my holiday and I was lucky the car didn't die on me when I was much further from home.
I know things can go wrong but if I knew know how you would be treated before I hired their car I wouldn't have gone near them.
