Good Points

Comfortable ride, can 2000kg tow twin axle caravan with ease. Good acceleration, with plenty of internal room. Good luggage space once rear sprog seats removed.

Bad Points

I bought a 50th anniversary 4.2 diesel Amazon (number 10) 2.5 years ago (2001 Y reg). Both front wings have rusted badly from inside. One needing replacement the other I hope can be salvaged. Rear offside wing in bad condition due to poor repair by Toyota garage, being repaired yet again this time at my expense. Toyota extended guarantee not worth the paper it was written on, cost £1190 for extra two years. Toyota refused to consider perforation guarantee as says it is a semi commercial vehicle, not what the Log book says. I bought this vehicle because I thought the K reg one I had and still own was so good, and still is in very good nick, (import). I will never buy a Toyota again on principle.

General Comments

Toyota extended guarantee is not clear as they make a big claim that you will have no worries once bought as states that it is as good as the original guarantee. They also argued about repairs done under it in the first year of their guarantee paid for under the Toyota Approved Used Car scheme:Complete peace of mind 12 months Toyota Warranty RAC Roadside Assistance for one year Pre-delivery check Mileage Guarantee* 30 day exchange plan Extended Warranty Claims: A Toyota warranty is an extension of the original warranty on your new or used vehicle. If a part covered by the warranty suffers a failure, we'll fix it. It's as simple as that: nothing to pay for replacement parts or labour, just routine servicing and maintenance costs. Rubbish!
