General Comments

Hello everyone! I travelled to South Africa and I had my insurance with World Nomads. While I was there the driver of the truck of our safari decided to drive into a flooded river, which made our truck fall off a bridge and started to sink into the river. We had to be rescued by the red cross helicopter and almost got killed. I started to had nightmares and went to the doctor who said that I had post traumatic stress disorder and recommended to come back to the UK ASAP. I contacted the emergency number from World Nomads and a very lovely woman said that as long as I had the note from the doctor saying that this is what I needed, the flights would be cover by the insurance. That I could buy the tickets myself and then I would get a refund. So... guess what happened... Once I got back, World Nomads said that they wouldn't cover for them, they said that they don't cover for psychological problems... no matter what happened or what the doctor said. They neither cover you for any legal advice if you want to make a claim against somebody. The treatment received from them it is horrible, they just treat you like if you were trying to get money out of them, when you actually need them the most. I would never recommend them.
