Good Points

Large screen, touch features (when they work)


Bad Points

touch screen freezes, soft key doesn't always work, volume of music too low, even with Bose headphones, top line of keyboard for texting needs small fingers, battery life is poor, camera shakes and is slow to focus unless you are very still, phone ringing volumes are very low, and vibration strength is poor


General Comments

I picked up the Samsung F700 with a new Vdf contract, and have had continuing problems with the touch-screen level of responsiveness. Initially, I had a replacement phone, but it appears to be a software problem, so I now have to live with it. Quite often, the phone doesn't ring, even though someone is calling - the next thing, I have a message. I now use a visible display 'toy' that flashes when there is an incoming call. When the phone does ring the 'outdoor' phone profile call volume is very low. Using 'vibrate' is also unsatisfactory because the strength of the vibration is low. I have an 18-month contract, so am hopeful that these teething problems will be sorted out because I do like the touch functionality, and the large screen. It's a shame that all the other silly problems cancel out what could be a very good phone
