27 Dresses is a great Rom Com, perhaps a little bit tried and tested but there are some great performances here. Basically it's the story of an 'always the bridesmaid, never the bride' kinda scanario in which Katherine Heigl plays an excellent lead character in pursuit of her own dream after being a bridesmaid 27 times. However, far from being a pile of mush, the film manages to be witty and engaging throughout. Predictable in parts, I wouldn't necessarily recommend rushing out to the cinema to watch this (maybe wait for the DVD), but a perfect feel-good movie nonetheless and fab if you're not up for anything too heavy.
