Good Points

very good grip and positive feel once i'd sorted the correct pressure, progressive feel as they start to loose grip when pushing the limits giving plenty of warning!

Bad Points

High wear rate of rear tyre compared to the 020, but they are on my highly modded vmax with ohlins all round and it seems the high torque takes its toll on tyre life. Suspension needed re-setting after changing from 020's.

General Comments

I have been using Bridgestone 020's for a couple of years on my modded vmax, 190 rears, 120 fronts, both 17". These have always been very good, and even though I tended to push them hard, I got acceptable wear rates, i.e.:- 3kmiles+ rear, 6kmiles front. Changing to 021's needed the suspension re-set and a bit of experiment to arrive at the best tyre pressures. the grip, especially rear wheel braking is better than the 020, and the tyres seem to feel a little softer (ride feel) overall grip is better when pushing hard in long fast corners and steering and braking accuracy is slightly improved. The only downside is that after only 1500miles the centre of the rear is about two thirds worn. some of this may be due to the fact that the end of the summer being so wet last year maybe I haven ' t worn the sides as much as normal, but I am going to put on another one soon and see what I get out of it before I can be sure of its true wear rate. Let ' s hope the weather is better this year!
