I would strongly recommend not to use the Abbey Bank Business Account services.
It is practically impossible to get them to follow the simplest instruction. For Example, Due to our Financial Director leaving the business ( in a not very amicable way), I asked them to change the postal address of the company last December. Shortly after that I requested a new cheque book online. After waiting for two weeks, I called them to report it missing and asked them to check the address to which it had been sent - They confirmed it was the new address. Two weeks later- same story, but this time I talked to one of the managers. They re-assured it will not happen again. Two weeks later - The same story all over again, including asking them to check the mailing address, but this time they offered to send it by Special Delivery - Two weeks later, I called back and asked to talk to a more senior manager - I was referred to their Complaints manager - told them the whole story and she promised to investigate and to informed me asap. Then in mid March, I found within a number of documents been returned by the leaving FD - not one but 5 new cheque books all sent to the wrong address - But that was not my only surprise, the seemingly very concerned Complaints Manager had written to me to the wrong address, even when I had asked her to check if that was the root of the problem and she had re-ssured me that the address had been changed in the systems as per my instructions. I am now moving the account as far away from the Abbey as possible.
