Bought as a replacement for Pentax ME Super which finally collapsed after years of faithful service, my 300D has proved equally faithful. It had been all over the world and has taken thousands of pictures without any problems.
Bad Points
None that I consider significant considering the way digital cameras have developed. Early problems with sensor dust but using 18 - 200 zoom instead of swapping lenses has solved that even in dusty situations.
General Comments
The Canon EOS 300D is a straightforward camera without any gimics. Easy to change settings from full auto to full manual. The body is tough and has survived a lot of abuse on jeep floors, elephant back and river trips. In the desert I covered the top with a white cloth to prevent overheating. It gives sharp photos which are as good as the IS710 which I also use. I have no plans to change to a more update camera.
