Worked as advertised. I never could have moved all our picture files & song files so easily without this product.
Bad Points
Pre-installation instructions could be clearer. Nothing said about loading cable drivers.
General Comments
I'm glad I hadn't read all the reviews on PC Mover before buying it, because if I had, I would have avoided it like the plauge. Turns out I'm glad I used it and have recommended it to my friends. You do have to carefully study the directions first and have a battle plan prepared. I wrote out my step-by-step pre-install plans first, followed them closely, and had a positive overall experience. Yes, I have had to re-install a couple things since then, but the directions warn that that might be a possibility. Remember that anit-virus & anti-spyware software won't transfer, so plan for that. My only complaint is that the instructions didn't say anything about loading cable-drivers from the CD, which was necessary to get the machines the "see" the cable. Apart from that, once the transfer began (between 2 XP machines), I found it to be easy and quite intuitive. It did take a long time (6 hr.--lots of pictures), but was well worth it. This stuff does work, but do be well prepared before beginning.
