Admitted mistake


Bad Points

Everything. Cocked up original paperwork, claimed not to have received NCD and trebled premium , claimed not to have received direct debit mandate which lead to them cancelling my cover.


General Comments

Original Budget Car Insurance policy £240 when Budget cancelled within the first month they wanted £290 in cancellation fees. Did a bit of research on WWW and found that Budget is often a bit hasty in cancelling policies - no wonder.

In fairness, I wrote to them (no point in 'phoning - couldn't be less interested) pointing out their mistakes. although their admission wasn't exactly unequivocal they did at least admit to being fundamentally wrong and didn't take a penny off me.
