rd996's review of KIA Shuma 1999

★★★★☆

“Bought the Kia Shuma new in 1999 for just £6000....”

Good Points
Reliability. Cheap to run and service. Huge boot. Likely to outlive me.

Bad Points
Engine bit harsh at 80 mph plus.

General Comments
Bought the Kia Shuma new in 1999 for just £6000. Incredible value for money at the time. Has cost me practically nothing to run: tyres £70 a pair for the front; one set of front pads in 118,000 miles! New radiator at 100,000 miles, driveshaft boots and a few bulbs. That's it. Not a spot of rust. Starts first time all the time. Just goes on and on. Okay, it's not a 'fashionable' car, but hell it's tough. Will be sorry to see it go.
