Very Loyal, Loves their family, Smart, Smart, and Smart. They are a great addition to your family if you are willing to put in the time to teach manners.
Bad Points
They shed A LOT.
General Comments
German Shepherd dogs are great companions. I would start training my puppy from day 1. This is not a dog to leave in the back to yard, it will chew the siding off your house if bored. You have to consider this dog a member of your family, and should be treated that way.
