Good Points

Wide plates and teeth are brilliant at coping with thick, unruly hair to get the job done better and in half the time of more flimsy straighteners.


Bad Points

They are a pain to clean product build-up off, with all their little nooks and crannies


General Comments

I bought the Fransen Futura because the stylist used them on my hair in the salon, saying they were the only ones that would cope with my insanely thick and curly mop - just proves the professionals know what they're talking about! If I have to borrow someone else's, I really appreciate how great mine are, because nothing less heavy duty is up to the job. They're about the middle of the market price wise, which is great value for money considering I've had them for 6 years and they've never let me down. They do take a while to heat up, and they could be a bit hotter, but I've never been disappointed with the sleek results - no frizz in sight!
