Interest rates and the recent approach to terminating agreements


General Comments

My interest rate went up from 16.9% to 21.9% with an outstanding balance of 9k on my Egg Credit Card. Without any explanation whatsoever. They waited until the balance reached this level before putting up the rate even though I had never missed a payment and had paid off the balance in full on several occasions. For a period I was unable to pay off the balance in full as planned and made minmum payments only. This interest rate made it very difficult to make any difference in the outstanding balance as I was only paying about 40 off the debt and approx150 was in interest..
