Poor customer service.
My statement arrived late in March 2007. I called them up to discuss it and they were far more interested in trying to prove that it was definitely my post office's fault than they were in helping me to pay on time/keep the account up to date.
When I said I wasn't happy with their lack of help I was told "I'm sorry you feel that way" and "don't bother asking for my manager - they'll say the same thing".
I stopped ordering at that point. We also had a Marshall Ward and Choice for You (both the same company ) account and we stopped ordering from them too.
Given their lack of help, I do not consider them to be trusted with running any of our accounts. We had been good, loyal customers for 15 years and they had allocated us about £10,000 worth of credit limits. After this experience, I wouldn't trust them with a penny's worth of credit.
Eight months later, their Customer Service manager wrote to us offering a small discount (£25) per account to shop with them again. Only available by phone, mind you... there is no way I will ever phone them again after being spoken to in this manner.
The Customer Service manager enclosed an email address for feedback and I told her exactly how I felt, and once I made her send us our cashback, I instructed her to close all three accounts.
Even then, they still sent new catalogues in the next few weeks, so I emailed them and re-iterated my instructions to close the accounts, and informed them that these catalogues are unsolicited deliveries and have been disposed of accordingly.
Fashion World etc are very pleased with the extra business we have given them recently....
