General Comments

I got my Gamo as a christmas present and ive had it about 5 months now, and im still pleased with it. It came with a 4x32 scope and cost '£180.
I had fired other air rifles before but soon realised that this was far superior to those,(only later did i learn that i had fired a cheap chinese rifle). The gun felt a lot more sturdy and the stock was so much more robust than others. The black composite stock stands up to all the wear and tear of use, you dont need to worry about scratching or marking it really.

When i first shot the rifle it was very loud, but its quietened down now. Once sighted i was shooting1/2 inch groupings at 20 yards and hitting a 10mm spinner 7 times out of ten. The gun was punching through both sides of a tin can and knocking it over so i moved onto milk bottles filled with water, it was still going all the way through but only just.

I have taken my rifle hunting quite a few times and have killed 5 pigeons, 3 crows and 1 rat and loads of rabbit. all of these animals were killed with 1 clean shot showing that the Gamo has plenty of power and more than enough for hunting small quarry. I have limited my hunting to about 30 yards for rabbits as im not sure if it will do they job well any further away, but its good for hunting birds at about 55 yards.

To sumarise i think the Gamo is a great gun for plinking or hunting and it is well worth your time. if you havn't got one go and buy one now.
