Seemed very helpful before booking is paid for.
When money received, not helpful whatsoever, made various mistakes with the booking, upgrading to more expensive hotel without us asking them to, but still having to pay for it.
I had a really bad experience with first choice holiday hypermarket in. When we first made contact with them, they were helpful, friendly and lovely to talk to, we booked our wedding through first choice too to take place in Cyprus, we had a party of 13 and originally booked for the same hotel the Iberostar Ledra Beach, the Bride and Groom then decided to upgrade to the RIU Cypria Bay and paid the extras accordingly.
Six months later we picked up our tickets and found out that the Brides mum, dad and brothers family were also transferred without them knowing - first choice did not go through the bride and groom and went straight to the brides family and asked for an extra sum of money as 'they were now in a premier hotel' - the brides family thought that the Ledra Beach was upgraded to a premier hotel and paid accordingly and did not correct them when they thought it was the hotels status that had changed, not the hotel itself.
Please bear in mind that the grooms parents were then separated and kept in the Ledra Beach.
The bride called straight through to First Choice and got put through to a snotty bird who told her that there was nothing they could do except transfer the grooms parents over to the new hotel but at a cost of £300 SUPRISE SUPRISE.
Its a very long and annoying story but basically their customer service is totally shocking and if anything goes wrong, even if its their fault, please don't expect anything from them apart from an extra charge.
Just to top it all of, we had a call THREE DAYS before we flew out to say that they wanted another £99 for a booking fee, I thought a booking fee was a fee at the time of booking???????
