Good Points

Power, user friendly, my (3) 1996 does not look old! even though 12 years, no corrosion, no mechanical probs, although did change springs and starter at 100,000 miles (as norm!). Runs v.well on bio-diesel. Parts/accessories are fair price from uk online stores.


Bad Points

Fuel economy...if not on bio! With light foot 23mpg, max 28, min 18. Picking, but seats could be a little more padded. 1st & 2nd generation not good for 6'3" which is why I have 3rd gen!


General Comments

Have had 4 old Landrovers, 5 classic style Range Rovers, subaru pick-up, 2 Chevrolet Pick-ups and a Nissan pick-up in 30 years. The Surf on average beats them all! Although each has one or two better points other than the Nissan (which was rubbish).
