General Comments

I had my 890 bought as a birthday gift, (I had hinted heavily) and was delighted with its solid (if a little heavy) feel. The supplied scope is quite adequate although a 4x32 would be better, but anyone who feels that a high power scope is necessary may have seen too many sniper films. The rifle settled down after few hundred pellets; used Gamo's own match to 'run it in'. Bisley Magnums were my pellet of choice in the UK but not available here. I have a little gripe with the quality of the O ring - looks damaged out of the box and not sure where to get one yet. The stock on the rifle I have is not very accurately manufactured, and scraped the breech when cocking. I did a little handy work with a sanding block and now all is fine. I do agree that this should not be the norm.
I have no chrono so can make no claims for the power of rifle, other than good groups at 20 - 30 metres, and plenty of very unhappy pidgeons on the ranch. Would be nice to be able to fit a silencer, although the spring/recoil is quite loud with this rifle.
A nice rifle for the price €185 or about £132 inc scope.
