No LCD timer countdown.
The No SALT warning light stays on in soft water area.
General Comments
The stacking system of this dishwasher is very different to any of the others I have owned, i.e. the baskets have very low profile plate racks, but after a couple of weeks of trial and error, I love it. I can get so much more into each wash. All dishes and pots together, and no chance of pot handles poking down through the basket and stopping the wash arm turning!
Even on the quick 29 minute wash, even fairly dirty dishes come out very clean, (maybe just not as dry as from the full wash).
I miss the timer countdown my old machine had, you can only guess when the wash will finish. Take note of the start time, the instruction manual gives running times. Found the user manual here ... http://service.hoover.co.uk/manuals/
We live in Scotland, so we have soft water, and don't use salt. Unfortunately, there is no setting for 'NO salt', therefore the salt light stays on all the time, which isn't a major problem, just a nuisance.
I also like the fact that the heating element is concealed.
It is easy to clean, gets the dishes spotless. Has an eco setting of lower heat but takes 140 minutes, so this is great for running at night as it runs very quietly.
I'm very glad we bought this dishwasher.
