General Comments
I decided to invest in a good quality make and purchase frying pan, large pan sutiable for the oven, griddle pan etc. From day one griddle pan was difficult to clean. The frying pan was less non-stick than supermarket brands and the surface became discoloured and patchy. The oven pan started to blister.
I returned to shop I purchased from and they were replaced however one of the senior sales people chided me for the condition of my pans, said that I had used very high heat and it was her opinion that I was lucky to have had them replaced. Categorically stated that these pans are not suitable for frying, as they do not like heat unless low/moderate. Again instructions say should be able to take at least 500 degrees in the oven and that's not moderate. All the boxes come with lovely pictures of various cuts of meat looking perfectly seared so wondered how they achieved that. I was told that if you want to fry steaks or any meat to use cast iron.
I am out of pocket and will not use these pans as I have lost confidence in them

My husband and I too have purchased scanpan products as recommended. Our first scanpan frypan did as yours did, even tho we were very careful to clean it as advised as we had spent of lot of money on the purchase. Returned to place of purchase and had to wait for the rep to come thru to have a look. We were told it was the result of cooked on food and we hadn't cleaned it properly after use. We were taken back as we are fastidious with everything we own and would not neglect something we had spent a lot of money on. After lots of talking back and forward the pan was replaced. The new one is also showing signs of scratching and discoloration with us only using the recommended utensils and heat settings. We will be very hesitant to purchase scanpan again but don't know of what to change to.
