Pretty comprehensive virus and spyware protection
Unhelpful customer support, endless advertising from Norton. Requires a lot of memory to use
Well, My computer system is older, but I've tried to keep it current and it is a median performance computer by current standards.
Last spring, we purchased the Symantec anti virus package and have had computer problems ever since.
Start time on my computer has gone from instantaneous to 10 to 15 minutes.
I have tried to alleviate this by adding more RAM, etc with no luck.
I have also tried calling and emailing the "customer support" center for symantec.
Unhelpful! In order to actually speak to a person, one must first apply online, then wait for approval then, call in with a one time approval number.
Once you are connected to a human, you find that they do not speak proper english or comprehensible english at all.
I can liken this experience to a visit to the Department of Motor Vehicles-FRUSTRATING!!!!
I'm not sure which is worse-receiving unwanted emails form unknown persons, or receiving unwanted emails from your internet security company.
Also, in an effort to make themselves feel better, after every tech support encounter that Symantec has with you, they send you several surveys asking about the customer service?
Irritating.
This physical product is "ok", but the rest of the package is not worth the bother.
Use McAfee antivirus!
