Good acceleration, adequate brakes, good looks, comfortable, easy to work on, easily modified, novice-friendly, sporty yet able to tour
British winters eat the downpipes if not protected (will on any bike), no storage (expected with underseat exhausts!), brakes could use more feel, stupid position of key and buttons on dash.
What do bike journo's know? They say the bike only works if you rev it to the redline, they say the brakes are rubbish, they say the bike nicked it's looks from the MV Brutale...
Absolute nonsense.
The engine pulls cleanly if you're in the right gear fellas, (it's a 600 remember?), and I've hit 135mph on British roads without taking it to the redline, yes it's revvy, but it's from the old R6 so what did you expect?
The brakes can handle more than everyday speeds, they don't lock easily and are only slightly lacking in feel. I've made mistakes on this bike that wouldn't have been forgiven on another machine, I love it.
And if the naked version looks a bit like the MV Brutale, who's complaining? If you're gonna copy a look it may as well be from a gorgeous Italian bike hey?! I think it looks better than the competition, especially the naked version with a flyscreen.
I use it to commute to work, an hours ride, and it doesn't get uncomfortable, I've toured in France on it, I've taken it round a race circuit, it's able to do it all and it's cheap as chips, what more do you want, or need?
