I recently purchased he Beretta 686 Onyx pro series and love it! It's not only a pleasure to look at but it shoots and swings very well.
I have been very pleased with all shooting aspects of the gun. It poured down rain on me on the second day of duck season and the gun worked as designed.
I can't stand to hunt without a sling on my gun so I had a gunsmith install the 3/4" sling swivel, that came with the gun. I was afraid to drill between those barrels myself! Problem now is that I can't find a european sling. All the slings are 1" or 1.25".
So, for those of you who purchase the Onyx Pro Series, I would recommend you don't put on the 3/4" included Sling Swivel, insead install a 1" sling swivel.
Overall, an outstanding, well manufactured, and extremely well engineered shotgun. A gun that so far, works well in the harsh conditions of waterfowling yet looks good and works well in the dove fields.
