I'm in the process of installing a new fitted kitchen, which, thankfully I did not order from B&Q. I did, however, order an oven and hob which was delivered on time. The only problem being the delivery guy, who insisted on carrying it in my front door and through my sitting room despite me asking him to bring it in the back entrance. apparently they don't "carry stuff up lanes"
In the process of bringing in my oven - on his back - he managed to rip my ceiling light and fixture out of the ceiling and destroyed the light fitting in the process.
He was completely unapologetic and told me "just claim from B&Q"
Now after 5 calls to B&Q and speaking to different advisors every time, i still have no light and no indication of when I'll be re-compensed for this.
The light cost '£85 from B&Q in the first place. but I certainly wont be buying a replacement from them after this carry on!!!
