Good Points

Very quick for a 1.6 and handles well.


Bad Points

Not the best looking car to grace the roads.


General Comments

I purchased a 1997 Megane 1.6RT Sport only because it was going cheap and had 12 months MOT. Something to get me to work and back. When I got it it was a horrible tatty old thing. Gave it good old wash, hoover and it looks great. Apart from the odd dent and scratch its not too bad at all. What impressed me the most is the drive. I've owned a fare few cars and this seems to top the lot in terms of power and excellent fuel economy . The drive is surprisingly pleasant for a Renault. I haven't had it long enough to experience any costly issues but I'll threaten to put her up for sale if it all goes to pot.
