Good Points

Cool design, holds a lot of water! Easy to use.

Bad Points

Top often falls off when pouring water. Water leaks when being poured.

General Comments

This is our second Brita water jug, the first was a smaller, narrower version of the Atlantis and was broken when accidentally dropped on the floor.
This Atlantis model is ok, but suffers from some major design flaws.
The top leaks if there is ANY water in the unfiltered section of the pitcher and the top falls off randomly.
This is very frustrating, as these pitchers are rather expensive and filters are not cheap, either.
The pitcher does fit well into any portion of the fridge, even on the door rack due to the squat, square shape of the vessel.
Cleaning is a cinch, just take off the two top parts and you will be left with the jug itself. This will easily slip into any dishwasher.
I would definitely look at other models because of the "lid issue" but cannot be sure that this problem is limited to the Atlantis.
This does filter the water well, and cleans out MANY of the impurities, but leaves behind some of the tiny little charcoal pieces that comprise the internals of the filter. This can look bad and be disconcerting considering that the pitcher is crystal clear.

Everything considered, this pitcher gets an average rating from my experience with the previously owned Brita pitcher that suffered from the same lid problem, just not as severe or frequent. As for the charcoal pieces at the bottom of the pitcher, don't drink the last glass of water from the pitcher.
