Poor quality of build, poor reliability (lasted less than two years). Starting capacitor for the induction motor keeps needing to be replaced. Motor went short circuit. Water level indicator doesn't work. Temperature sensor for the heating elements kept on needing to be reset. For £150 extra you can buy a German built machine e.g. Siemens or Bosch with more features / functions and with a free 5year parts and labour guarantee. If Hotpoint were that confident about their machines they would be offering the same.
