Good Points

Extremely reliable,very spacious,comfortable, quite querky and uncommon.


Bad Points

Remote locking and air con not standard.


General Comments

Forget the reviews about this car that knock the handling, the handling seems fine to me and it does what it says on the tin! I have driven other more modern cars and sure they may be a bit sharper but there is nothing to worry about here. The Carisma is a well built, reliable and an economical workhorse with plenty of room up front and in the rear plus a huge boot. I Get about 35mpg average and it starts first time every time. It has just turned 10 years old and cant see any rust on the body at all, done 91000k and the engine is still sweet. Interior seems to have worn well but as always is down to sort of life it has had. Bought mine for £999 from a main MM dealer with 12 month warranty 2 years ago and still see them fetch that now so value for money is very good, sometimes cant believe what you can get for under a grand. In a way the best thing about the Carisma is its lack of it, therefore its rather bland image (in some opinions) is probably why it offers such good value for money as a used car.
