Good Points
Lots of power
Bad Points
Lots of gun
General Comments
The thing to consider before buying a Patriot is that in most cases a different airgun is a better answer to the question. I own a Patriot in .25 caliber, and it is my least used airgun out of a total of 7. It is a one trick pony, lots of power for a spring airgun, and I'll admit I was drawn to that. But if I really need power, it still pales when compared to any cartridge firearm, so why? (Unless you live in an area that restricts them)
I am not whining that it is to heavy or hard to cock, I just want potential owners to understand it is not a good all around airgun if you will be limited to just one. Please dont purchase this gun with thoughts of casual strolls and plinking in mind. I enjoy the sport, and I feel some will be discouraged if this is their first venture into air rifle shooting.
