Network Solutions is holding my domain name. When I tried to switch registrars to active-domain.com (instead of paying the over-priced Net Solutions yearly fee) Network Solutions played 'dumb' and would not let active-domain.com become the new registrar. In my opinion Network Solutions gave me the run-around, and when I asked to speak to the manager, the manager as far as I am concerned did nothing to help. Network Solutions used the 'old man stall' technique of customer service. Active-domain.com tried 3 times to initiate a transfer and Network Solutions told me that they had never received the transfer.
I would never recommend Network Solutions to anyone.

Yes! This exact thing happened to me; Network Solutions actually locked my domain for transfer for no discernible reason that I am aware of, have not yet acknowledged my support tickets it seems until the domain was one day from renewal, effectively holding my domain hostage in my opinion.
I would never recommend Network Solutions to anyone either.
