Many channels.
Many channels that nobody wants to watch, Awful customer service, bill processing, payment handling, and sub-par tech support. THE WORST HARdware available!
I have been a direct tv customer for 4 awful years now. The first year or two were uneventful and pleasant, but since we have added multiple features to our account including high def, another dvr and upgraded our channel selection, there have been so many error on behalf of Direct tv, I have lost count.
I have been through 2 HD DVR boxes in the last 3 months since having their HD service(bad hardware) and have been through 9 regular DVR's in the last 12 months on our other tv.
The last foul up from Direct tv was when they decided to bill our normal mail invoice to my wifes email?
The service is in my name and no one told them to send it to her anyway? They could not explain this?
Before that, $5 per receiver began to show up on our bill for each box. Direct Tv said that I had requested this $5 per month insurance???????
I told the tech to take it off and she argued with me and hung up on me.
These are a few examples of the way that Direct tv has botched up my account over the last 2 years or so.
Most of the people there are very professional and try very hard to satisfy the customer. Which leads me into my next subject.
Direct tv's philosophy on dealing with complaints-throw free stuff at the complaining customer till they go away.
This is really nice, but the problems still continue!!!
I have called many times to complain about pretty large items, when the reps are unable or unwilling to help, I sign up for service elsewhere and THEN the retention calls start!
Direct tv suddenly becomes concerned that you are unhappy and offer you everything under the sun so that you do not go elsewhere.
I'm tired of Directtv and will switch to Verizon FIOS when my FREE year of HD service and FREE HD receiver expire.
