Fair range of products. Good branch access within their geographical area. Nice counter staff. Local service & knowledge (eg. of housing market etc). Support local charities.
Bad Points
Queues almost invariably very long. Will bombard you with sales rubbish at first (but will stop if you tell them to). Small/local aspect can mean that many products are uncompetitive. Naff pushing of their association with a certain round-the-world yachtswoman!
General Comments
Ok for the basics (bonds, savings etc), but maybe not the best deal for other services. If the counter service speeds were better, this would be worthwhile in some instances, as the old-fashioned "personal" touches are still there.
