Good Points
Character of ride on 14" alloys/ GTI running gear, reliability, parts available quickly not overpriced, shape [I prefer 3-door these days/ good styling [not angry/ mean], Sound/ distinctive and pleasant growl [The Police found that to be a problem on the beat], windscreen angle allows pedestrian/ other road user friends to see driver - [not a reflection of sky], rarity/ recognisable easily, adequate power [I'm not towing], not cool for a car thief, sunroof quick [wacky French affair], Original general condition includes the stereo!
Bad Points
Hatch leaks, Heaters have improved in 15 years, Trip meter has stopped resetting [160000miles], Central locking not currently working. No airbags, No aircon. Good mechanic needed in background to make it all happen so well.
General Comments
My Peugeot 205 does the rare/cool car thing for me.
Commutes daily so [full size] spare wheel ready in hatch with chocks / jack etc. Well matched to UK speed limits and rural roads with plenty of hill climbing. [Pug 307 chosen for motorway work - but 205 DT for snow or flood]. Not For Sale [yet]. Generally puts a smile on faces.
