High St. presence, free online access, direct phone line to branch, relatively few account mistakes.
Bad Points
Natwest online access isn't user friendly, branches understaffed, you will be bombarded with unsolicited sales material, low interest on current accounts, security may be weak
General Comments
Will ring you up saying it's time for a financial review (i.e. they want you to traipse to the branch in order that they can try to sell you lots of inappropriate financial "services"). When you decline, thy ask you to give personal account details over the phone.
They have a habit of sending you loan applications you didn't ask for which you just need to sign for an "Instant £10,000" etc, which again is not very secure.
The actual telephone banking service is ok (and UK as far as I can tell), but the online access is very hit & miss. Account changes (eg. change of address, employer etc. can take ages to work through the system.
All in all, Natwest would be reasonable if they had more counter staff, updated their records more often and left you alone without trying to flog you stuff every 5 minutes.
