David Rawsthorne.'s Review of Kodak DC215

Good Points

The price for such a good quality camera is excellent, and makes the DC215 a worthwhile starters camera, or even for older kids (It can save a fortune on film!).

Bad Points

The supplied 4MB card should be at least 8MB, and it should come with an AC adapter and a set of NiMH batteries, which are an absolute must, as this camera eats batteries for breakfast!

General Comments

The quality of it's hi-res pictures is good, but not perfect, with a few just-noticeable distortions depending on light angle and strength. I would recommend this for those new in Digital photography, or as a cheap general purpose camera. The price is well suited to those on a limited budget, but plan on buying an AC adapter, NiMH batteries and charger (2 sets would be better) and another memory card - 16MB or more would be the best bet.

The Millennium edition has a USB card reader, so may be good for those that have a USB port, but for close to the same additional money, you can shop around and get a Parallel card reader if you dont have a USB port, or want a bit more flexibility to use it on a few PC's.
