They just treat you as if you don't exist!...

General Comments

Austrian Airlines broke my luggage, and when it came to recovering my loss!...They just made a great U-TURN and bargained with me on their own stated and reported value of my luggage!...They reported it for 250 Euro, but they wanted to pay only 100 usd!....
We trust on them with our lives and our LUGGAGES!... If something happens to our luggages at their flights, it is their responsibility recover! I am a travel professional of 25 years, do own a small Conference Organizing tour operator in Istanbul. I really was very upset for I did not have time to follow the complaint I made at the airport in Vienna, since I was supposed to catch the flight by TK to Istanbul. Therefore, I had my report written by Austrian Airlines officers at the airport in Vienna, and got back to Istanbul. Following days, I went to visit the Austrian Airlines office in Istanbul.

However, Istanbul Office of Austrian Airlines (the central office at Gumussuyu) was not helpful at all...
The Austrian Airlines officials in Vienna made the inspection on the luggage and gave the estimated value of 250 Euro for the damaged luggage.
But Istanbul Office kept insisting that my luggage was worth 100 Euro, not more. Their rationale was that my luggage was 3 years old and got depreciation deducted...This is so unfair...So unacceptable...You cannot just break the luggage of people and turn your back to them when the time comes to recover...
