Good Points

Good Points
The salesmen at Andrew Wright Windows were courteous and helpful and were able to offer advice and show examples from their extensive product range within the showroom.

Bad Points

The job of fitting our French doors took over 5 months to complete.
Doors arrived opening the wrong way and had to be replaced.
Doors were poorly fitted.

General Comments

We received a letter from the installation department informing us as to when they would be starting the work to fit our French doors. They didn't arrive on the day, despite a confirmation phone call by us two days previously.
We were told they would arrive the following day and that the work would be completed in one day.
The mess left in the room from cutting through the brick wall was unbelievable. The only dust sheets were provided by us. No attempt was made by them to clean up before they left and the floor and work surfaces took several washes to get clean.
An electric socket on the wall had its wires cut by their electrician while still live, insulating tape wrapped around the ends, and the cable pushed up into the loft space above the kitchen.
When the doors were eventually installed, they opened the wrong way, outward instead of inward.
They returned two weeks later to install the correct doors. The locking mechanism was so stiff to operate that it requiring considerable force to lift the handle and turn the key. I took it on myself to adjust the mechanism which took a screw driver and all of ten minutes to get right.
They visited our property on numerous occasions to fit beading, skirting, facing etc.
Five months had passed since the order was placed, so we organised our own plasterer to complete the internal work as we could not wait any longer for Andrew Wright Windows, and quite honestly, did not want them on our premises.
The outside rendering of the brickwork had not been scored to match the existing stone wall (as outlined in their contract) so I guess I'll have to do that myself.
I would not use Andrew Wright Windows again, and would not recommend them to anyone.
